I have been wanting to drop you a quick line just to say thank you so much for everything you did for Ashley’s funeral. So many people have contacted me not just to say how much they enjoyed the day (though they add that they aren’t sure whether they were supposed to enjoy it, and were glad when I told them that it was the right response) but also to say how wonderful you were.
And I agree with them, the “service” was a joyous celebration of Ashley and his life. As I think I may have said I believe funerals are for the living not for those who have gone… but I reckon Ash would have enjoyed it and if he watching from the door to the next room he would have approved.
